I'm 1/2 Mexican and my husband is full Japanese. I went to school in Hawaii and fell in love with the culture and the land. Our kids are an interesting mix culturally. Boys Day in Japan is 5/5, which is American Cinco de Mayo. So the kids eat all their favorite cultural foods that day! Mochi for bkfst, Katsu for lunch, and tacos for dinner.
